Missions Update
James & Molly LeschiedJune 30, 2008 Dear friends, In Molly and my last newsletter we wrote about the church we are helping provide a building for in Lesosibirsk. You will be pleased at what you see if you go to the following blog site. There are pictures of the project from a vacant lot to…you'll have to check it out yourself. :) This blog is regularily updated by Robin Ivins (wife of our construction overseer) who does an excellent job adding a lot of local flavor to what is known as the Lesosibirsk Building Project.
Please visit this site: Would you also consider giving so that this church could be usable by winter? The next big expense is purchasing windows, doors and bringing heat to the building. Every gift no matter the size makes a difference. Thank you, James Leschied

December 2007 Dear friends and partners in ministry, Molly and I are serving in an area of SEND International called SEND Siberia & Western Russia. This is the largest area within SEND International and extends 6000 kilometers (2727 miles) from Moscow in the west to Ulan Ude in the east. Although Molly and I work in Krasnoyarsk, we are part of a larger team that works in other cities. One such city is Ulan Ude which is the capital of the Russian Republic of Buryatia. Our fellow missionaries there face somewhat different challenges than we, as they seek ways to bring the gospel of Christ to people who are enslaved in Buddhism and Shamanism. This December, SEND is launching an effort to raise funds for the purchase of a three-story building in the centre of Ulan Ude. The 354 square meters (3186 square feet) will be used to provide a facility for a growing church as well as for a number of other church-based outreach ministries. Because of the nature of this project we have limited time to make the down payment (30% of the overall cost). You can find lots of details about this project by reading the attached letter our missionaries in Ulan Ude have written to their constituency. Molly and I are completely behind this and consider it a priviledge to personally be able to help in establishing this lighthouse of hope in a very dark region of this country. We ask you to prayerfully consider if God would have you give toward meeting this need. ( We realize that some of you reading this letter are already helping to build a church in Lesosibirsk and do not wish to distract you from that.)
Thank you for listening. James Leschied

Dear praying friends and family, God also answered your prayers for our neighbors though not as we had hoped. No one came to our Easter service though several said they might. The letter they all received contained the Gospel so we trust they heard the good news at least that way. Please continue to pray for us that we would be faithful with each opportunity the Lord gives us to share Him with our neighbors and others we meet. Thanks again for praying! Who knows who we might see in Heaven as a result of all of our prayers! Molly
From 4/5/07: CBC is commited to supporting their effort financially and with prayers. As Easter is coming up, James and Molly want to take this opportunity to see God's kingdom increase by His message. Join us in praying with and for them. Here are their latest prayer requests: From: Jleschied@cs.com http://www.send.org/miss/leschied.htm
